Antoni Maznevski was born in Skopje in 1963, the city where he is still living and working today. Since 1993 he has been preoccupied with installations, which, like his previous pictures, focus on the dominance of technology, information and mass-produced cultural values. Maznevski for example creates a “landscape” of television sets: “screens” (canvases painted in the colours of the spectrum) and television screens on which a thin line is all that remains of the picture. The line on the screen – the horizon of our cultural landscape?
